Hi everyone, hope everything is going well with you all! This week, I stopped by Malaysia to watch the Asia Super Car Club race! My sponsors from LKM, Siu Tit Lung and Siu Yuk Lung were out racing their new Lamborghini Gallardo's in the LKM livery. Posted by Administrator
I flew directly from Kuala Lumpur out to Paris, where I made a road trip driving down through France to the Cote d'Azur. I arrived in Monaco on Wednesday and the weather was sunny and fantastic. I was a bit worried last week when I checked the forecast and it said that it was supposed to rain in Monaco. There has been patches of clouds here and there in the evening, but the day time has so far been quite sunny and warm.
The great feeling of the Monaco Grand Prix comes right back to you when you pass the tunnels from France and first drive down the hill to Monte Carlo. The city and ocean is just breath taking at first glance. I met up with my team for a quick chat and then went onto the circuit for my usual track walk. It takes nearly 3 hours to walk the circuit and study it in detail.
Just like Macau, the track is open to regular traffic during the day, so that makes it difficult to walk and see the corners properly. I feel like I know the circuit much better than last year when I made the same walk because of my knowledge from last season here. I'm feeling ready and confident to attack this circuit. Of course, like any street circuit, you must be cautious at the opening laps, but then once familiarized, you must attack in order to gain confidence on the circuit.
The team and my Porsche are prepared and ready for the challenge. We relaxed last nite with the team at the circuit by having a barbeque for dinner.
I'm really looking forward to this afternoon when we take to the track for free practice. Wish me luck and I'm excited as I love street circuits.
Au Revoir from Monaco!
