There is 3 hours remaining in the race and pushed up to 3rd position. It is a hard race right now and Im a bit tired due to the extreme heat.

It is night now and we are pushing very hard! Mok Weng Sun has already finsihed his last stint and now Baird and I are trading back and forth to try and close the gap to the two Petronas BMW's.

Its goin to be a tough task as they are running very consistent. But they are 6 laps ahead and we are closin on them at about 5-7 seconds a lap...

7 hours down and 5 hours to go!

We are pushing hard to get back up the leader board. After 7 hours, we are up to 6th place overall but are still 9 laps down on the two leading Petronas BMW's. We are pushing VERY hard and giving it everything we got.

We are gaining on them at a rapid pace but they are very consistent as they have a strong driver line up in the cars. We are just going to keep lapping fast and overtaking the traffic aggresively and try to make up the positions.

The comeback is going well! Lets see how it plays out as we head into the night session of the race.

Left rear suspension bolt breaks in the 1st hour....

To much disappointment, the left rear suspension bolt breaks during the first hour of the stint. Unbelievable that it happened, but it did. The boys did a great job to get the car back out and we were about 15 laps down on the leaders and in 43rd place overall when I drove the car back out.

There is still a long race ahead and we are pushing VERY hard to make our way back up. The current leaders are the two Petronas BMW Z4's. If we are able to drive a faultless race, there is still a chance to make it back up to the podium.

At the end of the 3.5 hours, we are currently in 20th place overall and 13 laps behind the leaders. Still a long way to go!

Pole Position for the 12 hour endurance race in Malaysia

It was a great result today for everyone at Team PCS Racing as we were able to put our Porsche GT3 RSR on pull position for tomorrow's 12 hour race.

In Malaysia, it is an aggregate time of all 3 drivers qualifying times to determine qualifying result.

All 3 drivers, Mok Weng Sun, Craig Baird, and myself were able to put in quick lap times to clinch a dominate pole position.

Although we start the race from the front, we are well aware that it is a long race ahead. We need to stay out of trouble and be there at the 12th hour in order to defend our title here at the Merdeka Millenium Endurance race. We are focused on putting in a great team result and we feel with the combination of our pace and the reliable Porsche GT3 RSR, we can put in a strong result to defend our title here in Malaysia.

The race starts at 1130am tomorrow morning and the chequered flag will fly at 1130pm. Follow here as I will try my best to keep the results posted throughout the race. Wish us luck!!!

Official practice begins today in Malaysia for the 12 hour Enduro at Sepang.

As there was only 1 official practice session scheduled for this race weekend, our team has been here a few days earlier this week preparing for the 12 hour endurance race at Sepang International Circuit.

I am competing for Team PCS Racing and will be driving with one of Australia's top GT drivers, Craig Baird, and the team owner, Mok Weng Sun of Malaysia. We took the overall race victory here 1 year ago with this team and we are back here to look and repeat the success. Everything is exactly the same this year except that Alex Davison has been replaced by Baird after Davison had testing commitments with his Australian V8 team back in Australia.

We are running the same 2008 Porsche GT3 RSR with the Chrome paint and orange dragon livery. The car has again been prepared with lots of love and care which has given us a great car for this weekends race.

After running the car on Tuesday to prepare the setup of the car, the team replaced the driveshafts, brakes, and gearbox in preparation for the race. Today, we broke in the new parts before pushing the car a bit to work on setup.

Although we did struggle with oversteer during the session, our team still managed to put in a time of 2.07.35 which was good enough for the overall fastest time in free practice.

This years race has a wide variety of cars including an Aston Martin GT2, the new Ginetta GT car, radicals, and even a Mosler GT which typically is a very high downforce car. Not to mention that there are also several quick Porsche's including last years runner-up, the Kaneca Hong Leong GT3 RSR from Malaysia, and also the LKM sponsored Porsche Cup S driven my Keita Sawa and the two Siu Brothers of Hong Kong.

This race is typically a hard race due to the heat in Malaysia. With the humidity high and temperatures often reaching 40 degrees, it is a race that punishes both the car and driver.

We are well prepared for this race and the car is quick. The most important thing is that we drive the race smartly and stay out of trouble. With over 50 cars on the grid, it will be a race that will have alot of traffic combined with good competition. It will be up to us to put in a good performance and bring the home after the 12 hours of racing!

More updates to come throughout this wknd and hopefully I can upload some pictures of our beautiful car...when I mean beautiful, I truly mean a car that looks damn good!
